Churchers Solicitors continues to expand with three new trainees

Leading South-Coast law firm, Churchers Solicitors, has employed three new trainees as the firm continues to grow and expand across its six Hampshire offices.

Daniel Norris, Georgia Chandler and Jonathan Rees have joined the award-winning firm to begin their two years of training, which will consist of studying a variety of legal areas.

University of York graduate Daniel has joined Churchers’ Fareham office, where he works in the Commercial Conveyancing team, joining Partner Nick Eve and Clare Welling. He will gain experience in shareholder and partnership agreements, mergers, joint restructuring and insolvency.

Georgia, a former University of Portsmouth graduate, recently achieved a distinction from University of Law in Guildford. She is based in the Portsmouth office and studies with the Residential Conveyancing team, where she will gain experience in areas such as sales and purchase, new leases, equity release and shared-ownership.

Jonathan joins Churchers in his second career. After initially studying at University of Wales he recently graduated from the University of Law, Guildford with a Masters of Law with Distinction alongside his Legal Practice Course. He initially studies in the Wills and Probate team, where he will gain a range of experience including administration of trusts and estates, preparation of wills, powers of attorney and court of protection.

It has been a busy year for Churchers Solicitors, which was rebranded from Churchers Bolitho Way in March, and was named as The Hampshire Law Society’s Firm of the Year in the spring. This was a year after it won the same award with the Isle of Wight Law Society.

Faye Evans, associate in the Wills and Probate team and who interviewed and appointed the trainees, said: “We were incredibly impressed with the strength of the applicants this year and the successful candidates have shown themselves to be highly talented individuals. It is exciting to have the opportunity to train three such promising young lawyers and to be able to support them on their journey to becoming skilled practitioners. All three trainees have shown particular commitment to providing outstanding client care, which is why we feel they will be a particularly good fit for us.

At Churchers, the client experience is central to our ethos and recruiting the right people with the right attitude is key to ensuring our current client-focussed approach is maintained and developed in years to come. We would take this opportunity to wish Daniel, Jonathan and Georgia every success throughout their training experience and for their future careers as qualified solicitors.”
