At Churchers, we believe the people behind the company are what makes us so successful. We want you to meet the faces behind the name! Check out our 60 seconds with Liz Miller!
Who am I? Liz Miller, Consultant Solicitor.
What do I do?
I work in the Criminal Defence Department.
What can I help you with?
I deal with police station interviews under caution, social security/council interviews under caution. I also deal with Magistrate Court advocacy.
What do I like most about my job?
I like most of the variety of the work I do, not knowing what I am going to deal with next can be very interesting.
What are my hobbies?
My most recent hobby is photography and taking pictures of animals and wildlife, preferably in their own habitat. I went to Gambia before Christmas and saw many birds, monkeys and crocodiles. I am due to go to Costa Rica in November, having seen the programmes on the TV of the area I think I should enjoy myself. Next year I am hoping to go on safari in South Africa. As you will see from the photo nothing scares me!
Why did you decide to train to be a solicitor?
I trained as a solicitor after having been asked multiple times to 'ask my brother' (who was already a solicitor) questions about the law and I thought I'd try and qualify so I could give the answers and get paid for it.
If you didn’t decide to become a lawyer, what would have done instead?
If I had not become a solicitor, I had thought about becoming an archaeologist.
How can you get in touch with me?
