Prenuptial Agreement

As a family lawyer people always discuss the issue of pre-nuptial agreements as an area of interest. Last weekend was my cousins 18th birthday and when I arrived her girlfriends were discussing how they would make their future husband’s sign a prenuptial agreement to protect their assets.

A petition calling for a new work dress code law has been rejected

The government has rejected a law banning companies from telling women to wear high heels to work. The Equalities Office has said the already existing legislation is “adequate”, it will however be releasing guidelines to firms this Summer.

Increase in speeding fines

The fines imposed on speeding motorists are due to increase from today. Whilst the minimum fine will remain at £100 and the maximum at £2,500, fines imposed by Magistrates will now be determined by the speed driven  in excess of the limit and your weekly income.
